Welcome to Avon IA

Avon IA is a registered charity and member organisation of the IA, the Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Support Group and as a patient led support group our aim is to provide help, support, advice and friendship to people who have had or are about to have surgery to remove their large bowel.

We work closely with the hospitals in our area and we use this professional medical advice alongside our own experiences of living with an ileostomy or an internal pouch to provide information, support and friendship to our members and their families.

We hope that this website will provide you with information about Avon IA, the work we do, and how we can help you.

Avon IA are keen to make this website a valuable resource for all our members and would appreciate your feedback on the ways we can improve it and your ideas for additional content.
